Podcasts for Professional Development

Podcasts for Professional Development

Supplementing the podcast series last year I´ve picked out two more podcasts that are useful in professional development. Specifically they supplement two picked out for contractors but are excellent for any of you seeking to develop your skills.

Art of Charm

The Art of Charm podcast is a massively successful podcast with advice on your career, confidence, lifestyle and love-life. The host is knowledgeable on many subjects and has a relaxed but focused manner with interviewees.

You´ll find in depth interviews with on varied topics such as Giftology (567), Tony Hawk (575) and the making of a spaceship (577). Every Friday is answering questions from listeners and there are other episodes on specific topics.

Part of a larger website and brand with a blog and in-person training, the podcast itself is prolific with millions of listeners.

Pro blogging

A podcast about blogging, ProgBlogger looks at improving your blog, expanding your audience and monetising your efforts.

Published weekly, podcasts are usually 30-60 minutes long and go into depth about a particular subject. Recent ones to look at are doing a seasonal online sale (172), Avoiding burn out (171) and ethically using quotes in your blog content (173).

ProBlogger.com is also much more than just a podcast, with a blog, ebooks and other resources.

If you have or are thinking about setting up a blog then definitely give it a listen.
